Common names: Purple Waffle Plant, Red Ivy, Metal Leaf
Type: Tropical perennial foliage plant
Origin: Southeast Asia (notably India, Java, and the Maluku Islands)

Foliage: Striking metallic purple undersides; green to silvery tops.
Growth habit: Low-growing, creeping, or trailing—excellent as a groundcover or hanging plant.
Height: 6–12 inches (15–30 cm) tall.
